I read plenty of reviews on them before I bought them.We have smaller versions of a different brand and really love the concept behind using them backpacking.Yes, the lids unscrew fairly easily if you’re trying to pop or pull the lid or drink opening. I can deal with that, since the didn’t seem to untwist when they are just in your pack.They are hard to pop open to drink. But that’s ok, it means they won’t open too easily when I don’t want them to, and likely will get a little easier with time.The lids can pop off and get lost. Eh, my husband didn’t even use his lol. It’s camping and backpacking, clean isn’t imperative lol.Some say they crack and leak easily if you squeeze them too much or roll them., like using with a Life Straw. Ok, no plans to do that, as we already have a soft, rollable bottle dedicated for unclean water.My issue is that on our first trip out with them, one sprung a leak on the bottom. It has the tiniest little hole that leaked slowly, all down my back. LolIt was their first use. :(We hadn’t squeezed or rolled or crimped them. They weren’t even folded over in our packs as empties at any point, just smoothly and politely put in the bladder pocket. Sucks that one hasn’t held up and wasn’t ever even used yet. Hopefully that isn’t a sign of the rest to come in time. 🙁

Durable and light. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking. These guys are great because they are durable and light. If you don’t have water, you’ll be done. I’ve been there before and for that reason, I carry a lot of water and a water filter. You won’t regret it.

Wash before you use and the slight plastic odour will be gone. The volume is less than 1 litre. Used it in my day hike last week and it works as described. Overall a good product to save space. Need time to test its durability.
