Solid Dumbbells – Quick Fix if a Plate Feels Loose
These Ativafit DialTech dumbbells are excellent and easily deserve 5 stars. I’ve been using the 88 lb set and they’re sturdy, convenient, and a huge space saver compared to a full rack of weights.One tip for anyone who runs into a plate feeling loose: on the end of the dumbbell, there’s a cap with the Ativafit logo (part of the outside of the dial). That cap is only lightly glued on — I carefully popped it off with a box cutter. Behind it, there’s a very large hex bolt that can work itself loose over time. A quick tighten with an Allen wrench and the dumbbell was rock-solid again.This isn’t a defect — just normal hardware settling with heavy use, and it’s great that the design lets you access and fix it so easily.Overall, these dumbbells have been fantastic: smooth dial action, secure plates, and durable construction. Highly recommended!
