FABULOUS blood pressure cuff/logger
I first came across iHealth (not related to Apple) products during Covid. I was responsible for trying to acquire very hard to find medical equipment like thermometers and pulse/ox devices. I found iHealth and was impressed with their quality and function. I’ve been a loyal, personal user ever since, with a thermometer, pulse/ox, glucose, bathroom scale and a couple BP cuffs. My doctors LOVE seeing the logs the app keeps and allows me to add notes for reference. So now, THIS model. The best yet. I love that it uses both AA batteries and has a USB C option. More than once, my batteries have died and I had to recharge them before I could use it. This is great. BTW, the button is easily pushed in a suitcase, so pack carefully or remove the batteries, but know removing the batteries will wipe the memory. It’s NOT an issue if you use the app. When you reconnect the date will update and all the data. USE THE APP. The app is super simple to use and connect via BT. When you’re done you tap the button to upload it. The app is NOT REQUIRED for a reading like some of them, just for logging. It also comes with a BP cuff identical to my others iHealth BP monitors which have lasted several years. Several reviewers mentioned errors. I ONLY get errors if I don’t put my cuff on tight enough. It doesn’t have to be really tight, but the pump needs to sense some restriction very quickly or it shuts off. I’m usually able to just leave it and slip my arm in, but sometimes I need to rip the velcro and pull it a little tighter. We’ve all had that done and sometimes there is some discomfort as it inflates. I’m impressed though with how long it lasts on a set of batteries. I’ve not “measured” but I never catch myself saying “already” which surprises me for something with a pump. Whether you “need” a BP cuff or not, I’ve found this to be very handy in tracking my overall health and useful in today’s “telehealth” world. You can get a long ways with a doc, if you can provide the information. If you get any of their other products they all merge into a single app that’s easy to read and can provide reports to your practitioner. I’ve recommended iHealth to a number of people, all of which have loved them. No pics of my app because it’s got personal medical info in it. Sorry.

The best home BP cuff I’ve seen.
This thing is amazing. I’ve been on the hunt for a new blood pressure monitor for a minute, and when I saw this one I was so happy. I already use the iHealth tracker for blood sugar monitoring, so this was a no-brainer. It connected so easily to the same app I’ve already been using, which puts me comfortably into the iHealth ecosystem for tracking. If you’ve never used it before, it could not be simpler. Just scan the QR code in the instructions, and away you go.What that means is that it’s easy. Connecting it to the app does all the tracking for me. I just have to remember to use the thing in the morning, and let it log for me. I don’t have to worry about tracking or graphing or anything on my own. My doctor is going to be thrilled, having both things in the same place. As far as using it goes: It could not be easier. The monitor comes with batteries, so you just pop those in and go. It uses your phone information to set the time and date automatically, so you don’t even have to worry about that. If you want to run it corded to save battery, you can do that. But the batteries save the time/date so it’s still recommended to put them in.Functionally, it’s the same as any other blood pressure cuff. It works by putting the sleeve on your arm, and pushing the button. Tada! I wish it had an option to take several times and average, though. That’s the only thing I don’t like about it. Othe than that, it works great. The readout is crystal clear. It is gorgeous. I’ve never seen a screen that easy to read.I tested it against my old machine, for verification. The readings between the two were off by no more than I would have expected, given the time between them. I feel confident in the readings.

Compact, easy to use monitor!
I am someone who has to manage my BP through diet, exercise and plenty of medications. Having more that one monitor in the home is great because I can take a reading at the moment I want to (at my desk, in my living room). This is my 3rd unit in total, and 2nd unit that can upload readings to an app.Things I like:+ Outstanding display that is about the easiest I have found to read.+ App receives the readings, tracks them, but also shares them with my other (preferred) apps through Android Health Connect for further analysis+ Cuff is comfortable, and has a marking for where you should line it up before taking a reading (Artery)+ Dual power option is excellent, not needing to always power with batteries if it stay put (which it does)+ Great features for the price. I have other monitors that cost more, but don’t upload readings reliably to an app.Less favored, nit-picky items:- Sits flat, rather than having a slight tilt. I would prefer to not have to look at the unit head on to see readings- Single reading only. Current recommendation is 3 readings, a minute apart, after a 5 minute calm down. No stars removed for this though.- Single user. This is the only monitor I have that only supports a single user. Due to the way that it uploads the readings, if someone else uses this monitor, it will affect your readings.- Diastolic always reads 2 points higher than my calibrated institutional unit I also own, but the systolic matches. This is probably still within tolerances though.- Reading upload isn’t automatic as on my other unit. You must press a button to start the bluetooth operation, and have the iHealth app open, and click on the monitor to access readingsI would definitely say that the pros far outweigh the cons. This is a great monitor for an amazing price!
