The best running shorts Ive had in over a decade. They fit snug and comfortable with several pockets to fit my essential items in addition to a place that holds my shirt. Forget Nike these shorts are top tier.

Great features and stylish
I’m comparing these to Lululemon lined pace breaker shorts which I also own and like. The size for small is similar for both. I haven’t owned them long enough to comment on durability.Pros:The cell phone pocket on the liner is secure to hold my phone steady on a run.Multiple pocket options to carry itemsTowel/T-shirt loop is very useful (missing on my pace breaker shorts)Cinch cord at the waist can be worn outside the pants or cleverly switched to the inside of the waist. It takes a minute but you can tuck the cord through the pants so that it is on the inside of the waist band, without removing the entire cord.Attractive styleGood, light, breathable materialsCons:The zipper pulls flop around like little tassels. This is a design preference but I’m not a fan. I removed the thin orange cord pulls leaving rather small metal zipper pulls. This might be an issue for those with larger fingers or reduced dexterity but it’s good enough for me.All pockets are deep which increases likelihood of items (e.g. keys) swinging around with running. I would prefer at least one smaller, shallow pocket but not a big deal in practice.

Amazing shorts, but not 5″ inseam
I love these shorts; they are great for the price. If you’re on the fence, just get them (I have returned shorts to them without issue). That being said, the two things I dislike most about these shorts are:1. elastic waistband – functionally useless. I am 165lbs, lean, and bought a small, but i could easily be obese and still fit into the smalls. There is a drawstring, but for reference, even when tightened to an average tightness around the waist, it had to cinch it super tight. This isn’t a mission critical issue, but would be nice for them to fix/revisit.2. Length – Based on the fact that I found these when searching for Chubbies alternatives, I love short shorts. However, as someone who owns Chubbies shorts with a 5″ inseam, the Maamgic shorts listed as 5″ inseam simply are not. The 3 pairs of 5″ inseam shorts are very obviously shorter. Only by an inch or two, but when one of the main reasons I bought these shorts was their 5″ inseam, I was not pleased by the additional length. I learned the proper way just to measure the inseam, so I measured it, and the inseam measured 6″. Total length of the shorts, waistband to bottom of leg, was 14.5″The good news is that these two issues could easily be fixed by the company. And even better news is that even with those issues, I still love these shorts. I own 3 pair and will likely get more in the future.

Super lightweight. Best for running!!
I really like these shorts. Matter of fact I got 3 other pairs after buying the first. It’s one of the few shorts that are super lightweight, has enough pockets, and a comfortable liner. I run pretty much everyday in Southern California so it gets hot, and lightweight breathable shorts are hard to find. It almost feels like I’m not wearing anything, which is great. No complaints at all! I got the 5″ and 7″, and I prefer the 5″. I’m waiting for some new colors to come out and I’ll get more. True to size.

nice materiali
material is soft and has vents in the bottom. Great color selection. all pockets are large. The zippers appear to be of good quality and have long pulls. Only issue is the opening for the front pockets could be a bit bigger, however the pocket itself is very big

Nice shorts with great fit!
I actually really like these shorts. I recently started doing Yoga and Pilates due me receiving constant feedback regarding how bad my mobility and flexibility is ☠️. Anyhow needs some shorts with linear. And well because none of my 20 other athletic shorts I have had liner I had to purchase some immediately. Yeah I didn’t feel like going to the store to find them and kinda hoped for the best with what I purchased in Amazon.. Anyhow I’m typically a size 32 to 34… depending on my eating habits each quarter 🤣 so I opted for the size large. Love it. Right now I would say I’m closer to a size 32 but these still fit great and area perfect fit for my Pilates and yoga classes. Heck I wear them around the house too just because they are that comfortable.
