Excellent Size and Quality
I needed this jar for soaking my Markus Rothkranz sea moss, and it works perfectly! The 1-gallon size is excellent, the wide mouth makes it easy to use, and the black plastic lid seals well. The glass is sturdy and high quality, and I really appreciate that it’s BPA-free and made in the USA. Delivery was very fast too—overall, a great product that I’m very happy with!

Cheap and high quality
For $11 this is a very sturdy, high quality, easy to clean jar. It has thick glass and I use it to ferment kombucha. The lid is plastic with a seal that fits into it, like a plastic rubber, which I believe you can also buy replacement seals if you need to. It’s versatile, you can use it to ferment and carry liquids or something that you don’t want to get wet or exposed since it’s airtight. In all, it put on a good performance well and it’s affordable so I would recommend.

Good jar!
This gallon size jar was perfect for what I needed it for. Good tight fitting leak proof lid. Glass that is easy to clean and is dishwasher safe. No funky smell when it was opened the first time, and the glass was thick, and good quality so no worries about cracking or chipping with use. This is not meant for canning or putting scalding hot food in. You can put warm foods in it and store in the fridge for later use.

Nice, well sealed lid
After searching all over for a single gallon jar with this type of lid, I finally found it! All I’d been able to find previously were not food grade, and did not have a nice sealable lid like this. I will be making infused tequila, so I need a lid that closes well, as i will be turning the jar over daily.I am very happy with this purchase!

Perfect for home brew kombucha!
I use this for kombucha, without the lid, just a cloth rubber banded on top. The jar is a perfect thickness, easy to clean, affordable price. I’ve been using it for 2 years and it still looks brand new. I ordered a second one so I can start two batches! It comfortably fits 12 cups plus a scoby.
