Just like from high school
I wanted to exercise with a jump rope that was like the ones I used in high school, and this fit the bill. It’s got a good weight that will allow you to keep the tempo where you want it. Nobody wants to deal with ropes that are too light and feel like they are fighting the air to complete revolutions at your speed. Good length options, but if you ordered one too long, you can reduce it in intervals around 3 inches.

Perfect Jump Rope for Kids.
My 10-year-old son, who is 55.1 inches tall, has been using the Champion Sports Plastic Segmented Jump Rope and loves it. The rope is durable, fun, and perfect for cardiovascular fitness and rhythm practice. At first, we received a used product by mistake, but the replacement process was smooth and we got a brand-new rope quickly.

Jumping is good for the heart.
It does the job! It easy to use. The handles are easy to grip and the rope doesn’t tangle. It is lightweight but heavy enought to jump consistently with keeping a good speed.

Wear and Tear
Having used the product for roughly 10 months on various types of surfaces (e.g., concrete, wooden floors), the plastic tubules wear out and break, specifically those that strike the ground while jumping. The nylon cord is beginning to fray at the contact points with the plastic handles from the continual rotation of the rope. I have had similar ropes break apart at this point, causing the plastic beads to fly everywhere. Through all of this, I still prefer this type of jump rope as one can develop a lot of speed due to the weight of the tubules.

Best Christmas Present This Year!
Out of all our Christmas gift this year, my kids went crazy over these jump ropes! I have one in Kinder and one in 2nd grade. They fought over the jump ropes with their cousins. I should have bought one for every kid in the family. HUGE HIT! I highly suggest grandparents buy these for the grandkids and keep them around the house. Aunts and uncles, babysitters, care givers….. seriously buy! My sister keeps all the grandkids once a year during break for a special cousin slumber party. The kids went crazy for the jump ropes and she had to force them to take turns! So much better than them sitting on ipads or watching YouTube. I thought it would be a silly gift. Boy was I wrong! Apparently jumping rope is a big deal in elementary school. Do not forget to make a no-go area when in use. Maybe draw a chalk circle on the ground to create a designated area. My youngest nephew kept walking right into the line of fire. Funny for adults, but painful and bad for the kids 🙂

Great skipping rope in that the beads provide a nice weight and clicking sound making it easier to get the rhythm of jumping rope. The green rope is 5’ which is too short for my seven year old granddaughter who is just over 4’ so I’ve ordered the next size up.
