Great taste and texture — a cheaper ON Gold Standard alternative
I’ve been using Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard for over a year and was pretty happy with it, but I decided to try Rule One Whey after a friend recommended it. I’m really glad I did.The chocolate flavor is noticeably better. It’s richer, smoother, and the shake has a thicker texture that makes it feel more like a milk shake than just a protein supplement. I usually just mix it with water and ice to beat the Texas heat, and it still comes out creamy, which wasn’t always the case with ON.It is slightly sweeter than ON and has about 10 more calories per serving, but the protein content is the same. The scoop size is a bit bigger (keep that in mind if you’re tracking macros) but I think the taste and mouthfeel more than make up for that.Overall, this will probably become my new go-to protein as it is cheaper than ON with more or less the same results. If you’re looking for something that mixes well, tastes great, and gives you that thicker shake feel, I’d definitely recommend giving Rule One a try.

Very tasty pistachio
I’m surprised with the flavor of the pistachio because there is only 130 calories . I combine with my oatmeal and occasionally as a standalone shake and I’m always wowed due to flavor and pricing as compared to bigger known brands which sell 2lbs for $45

Really Good, But Sweet
This is pretty good in terms of taste and texture. It makes a great shake, but I needed to add more almond milk becuase it’s pretty sweet. I don’t eat very much in the way of sugar in any form, so it may taste overly sweet for that reason.

Appears spoilt and mixing issues
I found this product disappointing, despite the positive reviews. I gave it a fair shot by trying multiple flavors, but all of them had the same issue: the protein powder doubles in volume when blended, creating a very airy, foamy texture that leads to uncomfortable bloating.When I tried mixing it with frozen fruits, blueberries, and collagen, the texture became thick and sludgy like wet cement, almost like crude oil, which made it seem as if the almond milk had spoiled. The consistency was just off putting.Thankfully, I only bought the smaller size to test it out, and I definitely won’t be purchasing this brand again.

I got the chocolate flavor and enjoy it very much. I found it dissolves quickly without having to use a blender. Good with either water of milk.

Don’t like the taste. Also leaves a weird aftertaste. Atleast mixes reasonably well after a few shakes. Would not recommend at all.
