Is OpenDots ONE a bone conduction headphone?
No, OpenDots ONE uses air conduction combined with DirectPitch technology and an open-ear design, not bone conduction, ensuring environmental awareness and private listening.
How does OpenDots ONE minimize sound leakage?
OpenDots ONE uses DirectPitch technology to minimize leakage. Enabling “Privacy Mode” in the Shokz App further reduces high-frequency sound leakage for a more private experience.
What is the difference between OpenDots ONE and OpenFit 2?
OpenDots ONE is smaller, lighter, and more portable — ideal for daily use and travel. OpenFit 2 offers slightly improved high-frequency performance and is better suited for exercise.
How do I enable Dolby Audio on OpenDots ONE?
OpenDots ONE supports Dolby Audio for an immersive sound experience. You can turn it on or off in the Shokz App under device settings.
Can I use OpenDots ONE with just one earbud?
Yes. You can listen to music or take calls with a single earbud. Some Shokz App features, like firmware updates, may be limited when only one earbud is used.

Love these earbuds!
Really pleasantly surprised by how much I love these! Backstory: I was a Samsung girlie for a long time, and really loved my Galaxy FE buds. Unfortunately the left earbud stopped working within a year of getting them (luckily they were under warranty and I got it replaced/fixed, but then the left one stopped working AGAIN within another 6 months, and the right one about two months after that. Sigh). But honestly, I loved them enough that I was going to just get them again and hope for the best… that is, until I read the reviews and saw SO many people complaining about how quickly they stopped working. So I decided I didn’t want to risk it and went on the hunt for something different. I exhaustively read lots of reviews on several different earbuds, and was honestly getting discouraged until I read the reviews on these and saw that they were… gasp… actually mostly positive! I was intrigued. Then I remembered that a friend had highly recommended this brand, but the bone conducting headset (Open Run Pro2). I knew I would rather have individual earbuds vs something that wrapped around the back of my head, so the Open Dots seemed like they might be a better fit for my needs. I was skeptical that they would be too big and clunky, and that I would miss the noise cancelling option of my old ear buds. But to my surprise, I’ve really enjoyed them and think that I’m a convert now! They were super easy to set up and connect to my phone (had to download an app to tweak settings, but that was super simple too). They are comfortable and light despite being larger than your average bud. They also feel quite secure on my ear, and I’m not really worried about them falling off. I wear glasses and they don’t get in the way at all (which I had worried about with the Open Run Pro 2 headset). I like that the buds are interchangeable (they both work in both ears). The sound is really very good for being “open air” style, enough so that I don’t miss the noise canceling as much as I thought I would. Sometimes in extra loud situations (like someone talking loudly near you), it’s annoying not to have, but for the most part it hasn’t been a deal breaker for me. I actually kind of enjoy being able to hear the ambient noises of my surroundings more than I thought I would. When I have them paused, I can hear everything around me, including if someone needs to talk to me (aka I don’t have to take the earbud out of my ear in order to hear them, which is really nice). I got the pink ones, and I really like the color… the shiny part is like a rose gold, and the matte part is more like a dusty rose color (so it feels more classy, and not punch you in the face pink). They also have a 2 year manufacturers warranty, which I think is awesome compared to the single year that most companies offer.Cons:- They aren’t the most responsive to the double tapping. Shokz did release a firmware update to make them MORE sensitive, but then it kind of toes the line of being TOO sensitive/responsive, so I currently have that option turned off. It still works, it just usually takes a couple of intentional double tap tries. Pinching the battery part on the back of the ear works more reliably to pause/play, but I’m just so used to the double tap from my old set that I just do it instinctually.- The notification noises are quite loud. For awhile, I was having an issue when I had it paired to both my phone and my tablet, that when I walked in and out of range from the tablet while listening to music on my phone, it would make an unnecessarily loud notification noise in my ear as it disconnected/reconnected each time. I finally had to unpair it from my tablet altogether because it was driving me crazy. If that notification noise could be adjusted (or at least just lowered), that would be a huge improvement!Overall, I’m very happy with these and I’m glad I took the chance on them!! Here’s hoping they last longer than my Galaxy FEs did!

Amazing comfort and Great sound.
I just started using the Shokz OpenDots One and fell in love. Sound is not meant to be audiophile level but they hold their own especially for open air buds. I purchased for workout, dog walk, and around the house when other are present. The sound has good depth of field, lots of headroom for volume, and enjoyable highs without being harsh. Bass is decent (again open air is not going to thump you). It’s a very enjoyable experience.Comfort is one of OpenDots greatest strengths. Completely forgot they were there. Two hours later i am watching Hulu on my PC while also being connected to my phone. Materials feel soft and high-end.The app is easy to use and intuitive. Connection is extremely smooth.I own several buds including Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra, PowerBeats, and high-end custom 64 Audio IEMs. The Bose are always an issue with comfort and staying in my ear during any activity. The sound great but comfort is not even close. The OpenDots while not the sound level of $2k IEMS, are amazing for their designed purpose. So far, I am super impressed!

Absolutely Fantastic!
I have tried every type of earbud under the sun, and like many others have found nothing that has both the staying power (doesn’t fall out) as well as quality sound. These are 100% my new favorite product!1) super easy to pair with my iPhone2) easy operation of taps for sound control and play/pause or answer/hang up on calls3) SUPER lightweight! Wore them all day and barely noticed4) Excellent sound quality for the person you are calling – got great feedback from my aging parents that they could hear me fine, even with road noise when driving.5) Excellent sound quality for me – I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I can clearly hear what I am playing, and also what is going on around me…so it doesn’t cancel noise, but that is my personal preference as I don’t like blocking out the world.6) Size is great – not big and clunky7) Great battery life and easy to use while wearingI may get some for my family member’s for birthdays or holidays!!!

Comfortable, great sound!
These are the solution I’ve been looking for! I have always had trouble wearing in-ear ear buds, but I didn’t want to run with full headphones. These have been amazing. Connectivity to my phone was fast, the volume is easy to control, and easy to charge. I have been listening to both music and to audiobooks and the sound inside my head is clear and full, and I can still hear what is going on around me. A double tap starts and stops the sound. I don’t plan on using them for phone calls. So very lightweight. They are secure and comfortable while running as long as I place them correctly on my ear. Tiny case and pretty color. I don’t have anything to compare them to, but I got them on sale and they seem like a great value!

Comfortable and stay in place
I love the size and feel of these earbuds. They connect easily with my phone and clarity of music is great. The only thing I would like is a control to skip or restart a song. They can be turned up or paused from what I can tell, but not skipped. Overall great for exercising and do not fall out. I can also turn them up fairly loud before anyone else can hear music coming from them.

These earplugs are awesome! Very lightweight, very comfortable and the sound quality is brilliant. These earplugs are comfortable and they don’t fall off, I use them in a gym and outside running, they don’t even move slightly so very stable and secure.
