Great bottle
I work 12 hour shifts and use this for coffee and hot chocolate. It does very well keeping them hot throughout my shift.I love the convenience of the pour slots in the plug. Very well built as Stanley is known for and I love the classic look.The only complaint I have is the cup always has a dish soap taste no matter how much I rinse and soak it for some reason.Would definitely buy again if I ever needed to.

4.5 stars: Keeps things hot for a long time. Seems to me that it doesn’t quite hold two quarts, but I didn’t measure.The aluminum cover on the plastic cup and the aluminum on the bottom is super soft and will dent easily.

Required Equipment for Me
My Dad had one of these the entire time I was growing up, and now I understand why. It doesn’t leak, it keeps coffee hot for nearly the entire shift at work, it has withstood every drop and wack its been dealt in my clumsy hands (the minor collection of dents I’ve administered “give it character,” I’m told), and the cup/lid is just the right size for a quick cup between tasks on the job. As the days get colder with the season, it’s great having several nice hot little cups of coffee on-hand when I’m working at a remote site and spending time out in the weather. Must-have item, at least for me.

Staying hot for very long time
This Staley bottle is amazing! I put boiling hot water for more than 12 hours and it is still HOT. Very good item!

Keeps liquids hot for long time but container may be too deep to clean
After adding boiling water to this Stanley vacuum bottle and leaving it completely shut for 24 hours, the water was still too hot to drink. I’ve only used it with hot water. I have not tried adding soup or coffee. You will need to buy a long neck cleaner because this bottle is a bit narrow and too deep for you to stick your hand inside.
