There is an issue with this item which I have reported to Amazon in an attempt to get this problem corrected. It is my hope that it gets resolved, and the issue doesn’t persist going forward.To explain, Amazon gets this product from Fabrication Enterprises, Inc. (FEI) who offers 2 versions, the ORIGINAL, and the DELUXE. The difference between them is that the Deluxe has a longer strap intended to be long enough to wrap around the thigh.The DELUXE set in this listing is MODEL # 10-2550 which is a 7 piece set containing one of each 1,2,3,4,5,7.5,10 lbs with the longer strap. I placed two separate orders for this item, and both times I received the ORIGINAL set which is MODEL # 10-0250 containing the same 7 weights which are 1,2,3,4,5,7.5,10 lbs, but with the shorter strap. Please understand that both sets provide ONE of each weight, and if you require a pair, then you will need to order two sets. Thus, to reiterate, I have ordered the DELUXE set twice, and both times received the ORIGINAL set.My physical therapy office uses both Hausmann brand and this product, The Cuff. I prefer the Hausmann as I like the width of the weight, and the fact that they are made in the U.S.A., but they do not sell to the general public, and my phone message to Hausmann went unanswered. The Cuff is a decent product which is Made in China, and I expect it to last many years.The FEI website lists the Deluxe set #10-2550 at $205.00, and the Original set #10-0250 at $182.50. The Amazon pricing here of $82.30 can’t be beat regardless of which set you receive. There is also a rack made specifically to hold these weights which is also offered on Amazon with or without the weights. Given the pricing of this specific listing, it is more cost effective to purchase these weights, and then order the rack separately if you so desire, but you will need to check the pricing at your time of purchase. Personally I have opted for a different storage solution that will take up less space, but does not offer the same ease of use.I am on the shorter side at 5’ 2.5” tall, and need to strap these to my thigh. Although I ordered the Deluxe set seeking the longer strap, I am making do with the Original set that I received. I am not sure if these would strap to the thigh of a larger person, but it is definitely worth trying. Worth the money!
Product is the same as the ones I used at physical therapy. They are sturdy, and I like that I have a varied selection of weight sizes to use! I don’t have to worry about ordering individual weights every time I want to make my workout more challenging! I contemplated buying cheaper weights, but I’m glad I bought these instead.
